YouTube Stories will be discontinued on June 26, 2023, as the company seeks to focus on other key areas such as Shorts, Community posts, and live videos in addition to its traditional long-form content.
YouTube Shorts descriptions are generated using Google DeepMind.
TikTok
TikTok is also testing its own AI chatbot. The bot, dubbed “Tako,” is currently being tested in a few markets, where it will appear on the right-hand side of the TikTok interface, above the user’s profile and other buttons for likes, comments, and bookmarks.
Twitter today announced a new API tier for startups called Twitter API Pro, which costs $5,000 per month. The tier grants developers access to the full archive search endpoint, as well as the ability to fetch 1 million tweets per month and post 300,000 tweets per month.
Elon Musk, Twitter’s CEO, has announced new features for the microblogging platform, including 15-second forward and back seek buttons for video playback and a picture-in-picture mode that allows users to watch videos while scrolling.
